I'm sorry to hear that Michael Mirth has seen his final curtain call after a long fight with cancer. I first knew him as Paul Burdick, game developer and retailer, but he made the most of a long second career as a successful stage magician.

Another thing announced at Gen Con: Solo rules for the Marvel Multiverse RPG, written by the masterful Matt Kay! This is slated to be a PDF-only release debuting this fall. I'm only consulting on it, but I think you're going to like it!

My favorite thing I saw at Gen Con was, of course, the new stuff for the @marvel Multiverse RPG. This includes the Dice of Doom set and the Battleworld playmat from @fanrolldice and the new Secret Wars Expansion that Marty, Alex Irvine, and I wrote, with the con-exclusive cover.

At Gen Con, Blake Shrode arranged for me to join the Halo 405th cosplay team for a photo shoot in the main hall. They were fantastic fun, and I saw a number of them later in the costume contest.

Hard to believe that Ghost Recon is 25 years old! I've worked on a number of games in the Ghost Recon line, including Ghost Recon Phantoms and Ghost Recon Wildlands — plus a few that never even got announced. Thanks to @rdansky.bsky.social for opening the door to that world for me!

One of the coolest things I saw at Gen Con was this official profile for Johnny Silverhand — from Cyberpunk Red — as a Marvel Multiverse RPG character. This was done as a swap, with Wolverine statted up for Cyberpunk Red. I had no idea it was happening till I got to the show!

I had a fantastic time at Gen Con. This year was my 45th in a row. In addition, it was my 26th time hosting The Diana Jones Award and my 6th hosting the Gen Con Costume Contest.

Please lend Ross a hand! And share far and wide. He's having a horrible time and could use your help.

Missing my dad today on the first anniversary of his death. Many days I think of the things he's missed since then and will never see, but I try to treasure all the time we had together instead.

Thanks to everyone for the happy birthday wishes yesterday! I had a great day, and we went and saw Spider-Man: Brand New Day last night, which I loved.

I'm spending my day doing the prep for a colonoscopy tomorrow. It's not fun, but a little preventive maintenance goes a long way. During my first one, they found a few easy-to-fix things, so I'm on the "come back more often" plan, but for most folks, it's only every 10 years.
