Looks like another heat dome is coming our way in coastal GA.

Got two daughters moved into an apartment, then we all went to see the Odyssey. The movie was great. I’m exhausted.

Special weekend for me. Gonna hang out with all five of my children without care duties for mom. Pictures to come.

Next week I’m gonna deck my office out with flock cameras so I can watch myself write and grade.

I was struggling today late afternoon after two full days of orientation presentations. I think I was starting to become annoying to everyone around me. Deep breath and get through one half day tomorrow.

An opinion perfectly in tune with my lack of quantitative skills, I’m convinced that a large reason for our political partisanship is Americans are just a bellicose people.

What am I missing here? I've been in orientation meetings all morning, so I'm a bit dizzy. But didn't Biden win the 2020 election?

Step back for sec and ask if a serious nation lets a domestic abuse situation of a member of govt dominate the news cycle day after day. Remove him and let the family deal with it. We have other problems.

I'm begging people to stop using the phrase "co-equal branches." It's led to a mass delusion that the branches can and should operate independently of each other.

Tomorrow is the day I (our faculty) have to be back on campus and I am ready. Education is resistance.

And functionally no health insurance.

Really enjoying a pre-semester afternoon in my office, writing and listening to the thunder of an approaching storm. Ahhhh.

If I ever finish this book, my view will align with this, though I will be arguing that to the extent that we are a free society at the founding, the creation of certain types of church institutions (protestant) plays a big role in that.

Unclear, given *all of this*, why this is perplexing. I take no position on the wars merging, but the idea that leaders in the US are helping kill or actively killing Americans should be fairly easy to swallow at this point. Trump’s first war is against the American people.
