It's more specifically white birthrates they're obsessed with imo. They're terrified at seeing the US becoming demographically a majority-minority country in the future and want to starve it off or stop it dead. You see this anxiety also over in Europe with fears of "Muslims outbreeding Christians".

"Ok, we know someone came and strangled this Terminally ill patient, but why go to all the trouble anyway? Why not wait it out for them to expire naturally?" "Look at this, some anonymous group was placing bets on this guy's life, and look who's the top bettor?" "... my God, it all makes sense!"

I was thinking this the other day: this is like perfect, albeit very on the nose, set up or crucial information reveal in a murder mystery (book, tv show, film, etc.). Like, you have a straight motive set up, just need to literally "follow the money" and bam, there's your prime suspect!

I saw this headline and read a bit of it, and while it was destined to fail for obvious reasons, as someone who's done community theatre regularly, I don't approve of what he did, but I also understand it.

*Me remembering taking a set design course back in Community College and a common backstage joke was that actors were idiots (I studied Performing Arts, so it was cool), and that you have design the set in a way so that they don't bump into the furniture or fall of the stage.
