On August 8th, we marked one year since a gunman opened fire at the CDC in Atlanta, killing DeKalb County Police Officer David Rose.
We remember Officer Rose and all those who were targeted, and we stand against the conspiracy theories and misinformation that fueled this tragedy.

Yesterday, I drove to Lumpkin, GA to visit Pauline Binam at Stewart Detention Facility. Her story deserves to be heard. She’s been victimized by our immigration system, her reproductive organs non-consensually taken from her body, and now she’s been taken from her daughter, who needs her right now.

Public health in our country is in peril. From seeing a record number of vaccine-preventable measles cases to a parasitic outbreak, we need to get this right. We need a CDC director that will unequivocally fight for the health of our nation and not just rubber stamp RFK Jr.’s anti-science agenda.
Infectious diseases like cyclospora and measles are spreading because the people in charge don't care about public health. That's why we need more scientists and/or healthcare professionals in the room. That's why I'm running.
