I bought DVDs 20 years ago that I can still watch today. Meanwhile, I pay for 5 streaming services and somehow the movie I want isn't on any of them. Explain progress to me again.

Somewhere along the way, being wrong about facts was reclassified as "having an opinion," and knowing facts was stigmatized as "having bias." It's a big part of why we're in hell now.

They removed CD/DVD drives from PCs. -Made physical media harder to buy and use. -Removed expandable storage from phones. -Pushed us into streaming subscriptions. -Made always-online normal. -Made unlimited internet necessary. -Slowly raised the price of everything. Ownership quietly became renting.
