There are a lot of assumptions built into that quote that need examination. I would start with the demographics of who gets into elite universities--and which "left" policies those well-off families support. The answer, I suspect: A similar brand of neoliberalism as endorsed on the right.

Of course, I have the same methodological problems with using "Democrats" as a signal of "leftism." Or a signal of anything, really.

Some schools in Texas are already on the job to cut those courses.
