okay there is a translation up! I'm going to delay shsring my thoughts until later today, but needless to say I've already written another fic WIP based on the Romeo & Juliet scene alone LFNFKEBDDNSB it honestly has me in a CHOKEHOLD. I'm not going to be normal about that for a long while
also if anyone translates this video, I will give you a fully multi-chapter fic of your choice (SFW only). no I am not kidding. I really want to know what he's saying ;w;
THAT WAS SOOO GOOODD! Wakamori gets such a lively range of expression in the video...there's even a couple of times where he blushes ;w; how ADORABLE!
10/10, it was all great and that Romeo scene was EVERYTHING to me. I'm going to archive this later, for now I'm off to do some new fic writing!!
H-HE HAS THE PLAYER PRETEND TO BE JULIET WHILE HE'S ROMEO? 😳 HOLY SHIT FGO KNEW EXACTLY WHAT THEY WERE DOING JFJFJDNDNDNFNF OMGGGG
I'm lowkey hoping we get a "A rose by any other name would be just as sweet" line reference. it's my favourite line from the famous scene
okay right off the bat, this video has him /holding/ the abacus in his art which is a really nice touch. it really drives the point home that if there's anything he's occupied with on his downtime, it's math.
also HE ADDRESSES THE PLAYER BY MASTER-KUN STILL.....KFJFJDNDJEJSHS
(yes, that is a version of her song that was remixed with live instrumentation and performed at the Royal Albert Hall. 10/10 would recommend a listen, it's fantastic.)
I'm also biased though because most of my fics are self-insert, and every now and then I'll come up with some lines that make me go "damn, I'm REALLY cooking":
but like honestly though I hope we hear him use the abacus. beads clacking together and all at superspeed as he calculates a club's budget and figures out their WCR. it'd be so much fun
also I'm still thinking about that one person who commented on the announcement for this on Instagram, comparing it to "Moses descending from the plateau with the commandments" LMFAOOOO
update: it was really fun seeing him pick out movies that have defined his creative vision with Daft Punk...but also those he simply enjoys (or that he thinks he'll enjoy, in the case of one film) in one way or another. merci Thomas pour votre perspicacité :)
