Unfortunately it does not look like the Nats player dev staff have worked any magic with Pinckney. He's still having trouble making contact and when he does he's driving it into the ground so he's not taking advantage of his power potential at all.

Let's all pretend I spelled Pinckney correctly.

I would quibble that I don't think it's as much thinking they can get more out of these pitchers than the other teams could as much as they can finish the development that the Yankees and Guardians started.

On the other hand four Clayton Beeters would make the Nats pen significantly better even if it was still not good

I think some of it is also that they did not have a lot of developable pitchers hanging around so just getting volume in helps there as well.
