Mystics were basically bad last night. Or more accurately the Aces were just better. Turnovers were a problem, and NaLyssa Smith 6 offensive rebounds were a huge difference from last game.

Kiki +12, Betts -12, Austin 0 lmao
Jenn HatfieldAt half, the Mystics and the Aces are tied at 41. The Mystics are +14 in the paint, but the Aces have 8 more points off turnovers and 4 more 2nd-chance pts. Sonia Citron and Jackie Young lead all scorers with 13 pts each. Kiki Iriafen has 10 and is a game-high +12. @theixsports.bsky.social #WNBA
good thread
Josh MarshallNot that this goes to the deeper issues people are discussing. But the Thanksgiving Holiday has basically nothing to do with the Pilgrims or anything to do with settlers or later white Americans interactions with American Indians. The holiday didn't start with the Pilgrims. The modern day ...
I don't even have a way to charge a car at my home, but I would buy one of these things right now if I could, inconvenience or no.
ryan cooperI am begging you Kia. give me the medium sized passenger van EV electrek.co/2026/08/07/k...
None of these things really happened. Citron PG for a total of 4 minutes, and none with both Austin and Iriafen in the game. Prosper did not play with Citron at all. Mercury defense did not force the Mystics out of their comfort zone of the Amoore or Florez PG lineups.
Peter CarlsonThree things I'm watching for in this Mystics game: 1. Can Cass Prosper sustain her success from the Dream game? 2. Offensive sets with McMahon on the ball. 3. Whether they have any new actions they can mix in during the Citron PG minutes.
very silly controversy. Aces played the Lynx in Minnesota yesterday at 1:00 p.m. eastern, then had to play the Liberty in New York at 12:30 p.m. eastern today. That hardly even happens in baseball. Risks injury. Blame the schedulers if anyone.
Annie CostabileLoad management has become an increasingly important topic as the WNBA's season continues to expand. The Aces were a shell of themselves Sunday afternoon in Brooklyn as their Big 3 took a strategic rest day. www.nytimes.com/athletic/750...
Plenty of basketball between now and then, but a Mystics-Fever game on Sunday 9/20 to decide which team hosts a playoff series between the two would be VERY fun
Tyler ByrumIt's Aug. 9, and the Mystics are... -T-5th in the WNBA standings -6.0 games back from 1st place (Minnesota) -0.5 games back from hosting in the first round (Indiana) -6.5 games ahead of the first team(s) out of the playoffs (Portland/ LA) Their magic number to clinch is 8 with 13 games left.
