Like it's a very very very well known fact (and with audio recording, iirc), that Rod Serling was LYING HIS ASS OFF to executives about what the show would contain. He was saying it would NOT be political, or touch on important issues. Rod was a storyteller. He would've figured it out.

You kidding me? If it were Rod in the modern era, he would've done exactly what he did back then: Lie his ass off about what the show was about, then have it on air and become too beloved to really get rid of completely. Twilight Zone wouldn't have been made back then, but Rod lied for us.

So when people say 'hey, there's original disney stuff again!' we can literally say 'no, no there fucking isn't'.
