i think(?) i figured out a way to get my diaper model to work with other avatars. since it uses weight paints i could possibly use an armature for the diaper itself that has parts that just copy the transforms of the bones its weight painted for on the base avatar...

so i doodled what a baby tyrran looks like. all of their babies are some form of grey/beige. their fur pattern grows in as they begin to get a sense of self. it can become a wide variety of colors or shapes as its not tied to genetics.
