I started learning spriting today to try to make a custom (Zelda style top down) character and tilesheet for a potential game idea. I have pixel art software and references, but where would/did you start? Do you have any amazing tutorials or learning resources?

I don't care if it's mean spirited anymore - every day I see devs promoting their game on Reddit, I go to the Steam page and see AI disclosure then comment it in the Reddit thread. My comment gets upvoted and then a day later the thread gets removed.

I can't imagine how driven you have to be to make a fighting game. It feels like it would be like sitting down and going "ok I'm gonna do animation work every day for 3 years and the whole time people will be asking when is the next character coming out as I run out of money".

Maybe this is a silly question, but how come in the Backrooms film, despite getting in through a "solid" wall, the MC never tried testing other walls to see if they're also portals? I could envision a shot where he walks with a marker across every room looking for gaps.

I'm getting toward the last few hours of GoW: Ragnarok and I can't help but think compared to 2018 the ambition of the team has somewhat outstripped the scale of one game. There are too many characters and small conflicts to keep straight. They've made an incredible world but I'm losing the thread.
