My family has been here for 2 centuries, the mayflower was directed at those who do not feel they are responsible for history. If we compare the time here compared to First Nations it is a drop in the bucket and they were nearly wiped out when colonisers came some 29.5 centuries later.

You are correct about the definition, my bad. In my world when we are talking about history everyone who came here is an immigrant and their progeny are dependents of that path. No one is indigenous except the First Nations, Inuit and Metis.
