Actually, the storm monitoring and alert system, those people were fired already. I think that happened a year ago. I honestly don’t know how we get any news about storms unless it’s from European climate monitoring.

The independent sector has taken off honestly. Crowd sourcing weather data from a bunch of streamers and/or autistic nerds with access to private and public monitoring data has probably saved a surprising amount of lives.

I was building a buffer as not to accuse anyone of being autistic and/or a nerd 🌚 @ryanhallyall-xpost.bsky.social is probably the most accessible weathertuber, full stop. (Little AI heavy IMO but if it's being used to keep people safe and informed I'll choose different battles)
