A few years ago, no one in my office knew that a tropical storm was heading our way. It’s not just political news… they don’t watch the weather either.
Actually, the storm monitoring and alert system, those people were fired already. I think that happened a year ago. I honestly don’t know how we get any news about storms unless it’s from European climate monitoring.
The independent sector has taken off honestly. Crowd sourcing weather data from a bunch of streamers and/or autistic nerds with access to private and public monitoring data has probably saved a surprising amount of lives.
