I'm going to be, like 10% contrarian here and say that it's REALLY BAD, that both the AMA, and AAP uniformly recommend constant sunscreen use for everyone, even if you're a dark skinned vegetarian (and consequently skin cancer is a tiny risk to your QoL relative to vitamin D deficiency.)
mtswtempted to come up with some elaborate theory about sunscreen denialism, but I genuinely think it's mostly a case of the increasing salience being stupid has in our political divide
