At what age does a young person identify / become identified as one with technical skill vs one with academic skill? So many technical skills have an academic underpinning. So much academic knowledge is redundant with technical skill.

I (cautiously) welcome the move to a more devolved democracy. With this comes the opportunity to review curriculum through a local / national / world lens . Most existing curriculum areas are suited to such a lens (some more than others) I suspect there is a change required to give it best chance

That change would be in PHSCE curriculum time. This is where much of the democracy and careers education already lies. Opportunity here to develop changes to democracy hand in hand with curriculum. But: If you have more curriculum time on this: where does it come from? Should it be assessed?

To do this well, we need to have thought through the principles first. The mechanisms to ensure the strategy has best chance to work, and and understanding of how it may be operationalised over the short, medium and long term. What is the cost, and who pays?
