This is a factual statement. There are far more good games coming out today than they were back then. However, I don’t feel, in fact, I know they’re not made with the same focus for lack of a better word. My dream house is a ton of arcade games that were ports of arcade games. There is an energy.

Of like trying to get eyes to look at you type of design that is all over a lot of those games because of the nature of where they were initially launched at. I feel like that type of desire is completely gone from GAMES today. It makes perfect sense why but it’s more than just nostalgia I feel.

When I think about GAMES of this era. It’s literally a case of “they don’t make them like they used to”

If you exclusively mean AAA games then you may be right, every era adjusts the mass market big budget games to match the tastes and trends. That said, many indie games or AA games are weird and wonderful in the way AAA games would have been in that era Denshattack for example feels like Dreamcast.
