for my 4 & 2 it's stuff like: - ped area of king st and waterfront. ducks! ice cream! space to run with no cars! - torpedo factory to look at AND NOT TOUCH cool stuff - ride a dash bus and metro (destination irrelevant) - library activities. eg this at Duncan Sunday alexlibraryva.org/event/16425035

and just unstructured outside time. at a park, playground, trail etc. kids like rocks and bugs food somewhere w/ outside space and kid friendly food is great. Atlas is great for this, gustaves, any farmers market, just getting sandwiches by the water on King, etc.

All of this and.... King St Trolley is always a big hit.(Especially if they know Daniel Tiger or Mr Rogers.)
