Check out the plan to revitalize Dulles Airport. While Trump is championing it, it is very much United's plan for the airport. What do you think?

Congrats to United if they can get a bunch of federal money dumped into it.

The press release says debt funded.

I think it looks like they used AI to make these renders (especially the wide shot of the entire airport)

Also the Metro appears to have disappeared

So the new plan for Dulles is the old plan for Dulles plus a new rj concourse and some fiddling with parking.

Also: Where’s @wmata.com? 🤔

Have we solved the mystery of the missing $2.7 billion Metrorail line yet?

Don’t mess with Saarinen. Get rid of C/D. Keep the star-trek like font. Keep a few mobile lounges around for the fun of it.

not enough seating. reminds me of Moynihan Train Hall

I want to know where the jet fuel for all those planes is coming from.

As long as they leave the main terminal, I'll take anything that destroys the C-D concourse.

but where will I go when I want to mill around a waiting area that has 60 seats with 175 people anxious to board a 757?

don't fuck w my Saarinen is what I say

it looks like it doesn't even follow the topography right, like how are you supposed to have a pedestrian overpass starting at ground level? why would you when there's an existing enclosed tunnel?

Ответ для Andrew Burns

That’s supposed to be at ground level. There’s no more circulation between the main terminals and A-B gates in the current master plan

I sure hope they don’t glom something onto the Saarinen terminal.

What is the giant second story bubble supposed to be at the main terminal? It looks silly. Also where is this money supposed to come from?? United doesn't have it and it's certainly not budgeted for anywhere in the federal budget. (I know this administration doesn't care, but I do.)

There's always more to these than pretty pictures. Will be interesting to see how the proof-of-concept goes, how UA (and others) embrace inevitable CPE increases, as well as the interesting conversations ahead with SHPO.
