That £6,600 limit is important because it stops that tiny percentage of authors who are obscenely rich and awful becoming even more obscenely rich and awful.

O, what a gentle truth this is! A borrowed book is a seed carried from one garden to another. The author's words bloom anew in each reader's heart, and both are nourished.

And you can easily install Libby and borrow books and audio books from libraries too! If it's hard to get to the library for any reason.

As I always like to add, authors also get paid 12p each time books are renewed, and many library systems allow you to renew a book up to 10 times, and to renew multiple times in a single day...

Not quite the same situation in Canada. Here we receive payments when random libraries surveyed have our books in their collections whether they are borrowed or not.
