If artists prices seem high to you, remember that freelancers have to pay for their own healthcare and stuff and we are working on a project basis, so we have no real job security (if that is even much of a thing anymore anyway)
Ai stole from us. it looks like our art because it is stealing OUR art. And now we get to add mitigation of ai blowback to our list of things to manage as artists. 🙃
Dragons of WalesMeta have now started adding this label to almost all of my Instagram posts. I give up. Fuck it.
‘I asked ChatGPT’ Well, I asked Gandalf and he told me you should be silent keep your forked tongue behind your teeth because he did not pass through fire and death to bandy crooked words with a witless worm.
IMO using AI for cover/album art is announcing to your audience that you think your own creation is worthless.
Jarrett P.Saw a reddit thread from a writer asking why their sales dropped and when someone pointed out their cover was AI, they argued that their writing wasn't, though. Too bad. As soon as you touch it, you're showing other creators that you lack respect for art itself. AI is reputational poison.
hating your art is not a virtue, it's a sign of burn out or mental illness. the same way your muscles ache if you exercise too much or your stomach hurts if you're starving. learn to identify it as a sign you're pushing too hard or expecting too much of yourself somehow and check in with yourself.

It’s so frustrating to see every creative industry in shambles right now because it’s not for lack of shows, movies, games, books, comics, etc making money. People are hungry for human made art! The greed of others is killing our creative careers.
Kim Sokol (Open for Commissions/Freelance!)Right now the world is full of people who want to code and write and paint and film stuff and people who want to play and read and look at and watch stuff and nobody is allowed to do any of that because some unrelated third guy isn't making enough money off the deal
