Hard agree. If you check the charts around the time the Beatles came out most of it was absolute dross, we just remember the good shit. The 90's was full of really bad shit because it was full of humans who seem incapable of not doing really bad shit to each other regardless of linear time.
Ian DuntListening to my generation talk about the 90s the way the previous generation talked about the 70s is tiresome. No that wasnt 'back when movies were good' or 'music still meant something'. There's loads of great shit coming out now and there was loads of slop back then. You just miss being young.
This is a great point. However, my distaste isn't just for WotC as a company, but for the game itself which I didn't make clear in my original post. I'm much more interested in PbtA games, Daggerheart and indie games. I also love Mek28. That's a great game.
