But that’s like saying they didn’t advance the Braddock bike lanes, they just advanced the parking removal that cleared the way for them. Technically true but not the point.
Fair. My line: the board authorized the parking removal, T&ES decides what gets built. Staff also said Russell is too narrow for full-length islands — they'd be cut short — so the finished product may not match the drawings. Just don't want folks assuming everything in Option 2 is locked in.
The Traffic and Parking Board also approves changes to traffic, as well as parking changes. In the case of the Braddock Road project, the board approved removing parking, as well as removing a travel lane and consolidating turn lanes.
