Visualizing the new Purple Line 💜🚊 Bethesda Metro 🚇 access is a fun exercise in thinking about how large our Metro stations are underground. That’s a large footprint.
It’s easy to forget until you exit on the wrong end/side of a station and have to walk all the way back or around the long block to reroute. 😂 (it’s been a while but we’ve all done it)
Yes! The platforms are about 200 meters, so in the extreme case with entrances on opposite sides you can easily be a few blocks away. Extra entrances can improve connectivity a lot as will be the case in Bethesda and Silver Spring!
