ohmigod, that is a lot! we only got tremors (aftershocks?) in San Diego (1970s), but the big Naples one was like a 6-something. We weren’t in the destruction zone, but it was really bad. also, there’s a whole volcano/caldera situation which is still kind of going.

right? SoCal to Southern Italy for me, so I definitely thought earthquakes were just a thing. I remember Northridge happening (but from afar), yikes

oh that’s interesting, I think I’ve only ever been in the duck under the table zones. although the very largest earthquake I ever experienced we just sort of sat in stunned silence/awe around the kitchen table and held hands as the house kind of visibly swayed around us (Naples, 1980)

when I saw that Montgomery County had a working cats program 🥰 some cats are at their best living at/adjacent to your barn/plant nursery/warehouse and taking care of yr rodent/pest problems
