shit just thinking about it right now I can find a huge story (with adventures) for a world where one of the angels was a good person who got dragged to hell due to some issue or complication, and *REFUSES* to fall to evil, but can become an antagonist to the party *Just by existing*

This only gets more complicated if you mix in like information from faiths like Judaism, who have a more complicated relationship with Angels as messengers of God, etc. a good demon might be a demon who gets punished more severely because they will not abandon their kind nature.

2(con't) and generally are *NOT* considered playable in *most* games. but we already have biblical examples of "Evil Angels" in the form of Lucifer, and depending on your respect for Christian Apocrypha the War in heaven and all that. Those beings would consider themselves good.

1. Tolkien's elves were universally consider "good" because they were classically beautiful, but if you watch their behaviors toward the men and dwarves of middle earth? they're anything but good. 2. Extraplanar races have specific rules structures around them due to being extraplanar....

that being said? If you don't want all demons to be evil in your settings? that's 100% ok, and should be valued and respected without people sneering at you from behind their hands about "humanizing everything"

I'm willing to mark specifically hellborn type demons as all evil. but even if evil is in their nature, they may do moments of good, moments of kindness, and maybe they pay some kinda metaphysical price for that kindness, but they should still be capable of performing it under the rules.
