lol yeah, that tracks. I think the gap between "accessible puzzle + hint" and "for the ARG sickos" is basically an infinitely wide canyon.

I respect the attempt 🫡

if it makes you feel better @skylarkblue1.itch.io I might post another encrypted key I set my initial idea for this aside (more complicated to solve and to write) But I still like it....

If you want to give us a little extra support: Encourage friends (and enemies) to grab the game! It's a good deal right now, and word of mouth helps a ton Pick up the OST, which directly benefits both Soft Rains and our amazing composer, Grej store.steampowered.com/app/3763620/...

So by that logic: yes. If you chose NOT to use the "complete the bundle" offer, that extra dollar is money that Steam will process into Soft Rains' account. That said; these bundles are voluntary and we're happy to be alongside a legendary game like System Shock! Don't feel guilty about using it!

Interesting question that I asked myself in the past for similar reasons. It's true that bundles like this mean a little less money coming in. The revenue split works the same on the sale. (eg: steam's cut, dev cut, etc). Games you already own are excluded - the bundle discount isn't retroactive.

bless you - get some rest if you can

(cont.) In this case the easy solution would be shift the table over so it's unambiguously clear that you can pass through one gap, and unambiguously clear that the other is blocked."

020

(cont.) This example is exacerbated because the table that you're blocked by is below the typical eye-line of the player, so you don't know right away what you're stuck on if you try and pass through the smaller gap.

Text from image: The player can fit through one of these gaps, but not the other. Can you tell which? Sometimes we call this "ambiguous space" and it's a subtle thing that can make a level feel bad to navigate. Especially in a first-person game.

Just a different kind

You too famous now, counselor?

Oh well.. okay so that specific idea WAS mine. It's the kind of easter egg I love doing; I built the location, named and decorated it, scripted the robot, etc But I couldn't have done that without the rest of the Fallout 3 dev team, nor the original Black Isle team, nor Teasdale, Bradbury, etc...

000

I couldn’t possibly take credit - the Teasdale poem preceded the Bradbury story, for one - and so many other folks are part of Soft Rains and Fallout that I always feel weird about credit
