The language of “functional emotions” is deceptive. In the absence of subjectivity, there are no emotions, period.

Let's take the concern at face value: Behind what/whom? Students who don't outsource learning to AI are developing the skills involved in their chosen degree. Meanwhile, grade inflation + lack of quality in masses of AI-slop submissions deflate the view that AI use leads to higher assignment grades.
